I named these treats Mama Killa bits as they were created in a time of a new moon. Killa means Moon in Quechua (the language of the Incas.) When I began my journey into Peruvian Superfoods, I knew that bridging worlds and inviting our Peruvian history to come alive in every recipe was part of the path. Today, I present to you the Mama Killa Treats!
⭐️Gluten free, vegan, low-glycemic, and filled with omega 3 rich foods, these treats are an alternative to our Easter Tara bits. They are also an easy treat to make. BONUS: extra positive for skin wellness, and delicious for all the family.
Did you know that Omega 3 fatty acids contained in Sacha Inchi are vital to healthy hair and skin? Omega 3 fatty acids assist in regulating oil production keeping skin: elastic, hydrated, and protected against sun damage. They also help in skin repair. WOW!
⭐️MORE BENEFITS OF SACHA INCHI BUTTER (which by the way can be an amazing substitute for peanut butter)
- Sacha Inchi seeds are rich in protein, omega 3, 6, and 9, alpha tocopherol vitamin E, carotenoids (vitamin A), and fiber
- We need good, healthy fats like the ones in Sacha Inchi to resupply brain cells and to continually fight inflammation. ( SACHA INCHI IS AN EXTRA BONUS FOR THOSE EXPECTING SOULS AS WE NEED FISH OIL TO HELP OUR BABIES DEVELOP HEALTHY BRAIN CELLS)
- Omega 3 helps control glucose levels. It also helps body absorb calcium, and reduces inflammation in the body.
- Sacha Inchi’s vitamins help in improving vision and general well-being as seeds contain a good amount of tryptophan (a precursor for serotonin) or the feel good hormone!
I don’t know about you, but I am fascinated already
