Gluten free, vegan, low-glycemic, and filled with protein…. These bits are an easy, healthy, and delicious treat for all the family, and I have added Tara Superfood powder to this treat (makes 8-10 bits for the whole family)
Ingredients
1/2 cup almond or peanut butter
1/2 cup of rolled oats
1 tbs Miski Organics Tara Powder (A single serving of tara protein powder contains 9 grams of dietary fibre, 100% plant protein. It also contains amino acids essential for the body to function properly)
1 1/2 cups of Medjool dates
1 cup shredded coconut
Instructions
Make sure dates are moist. If they are not, you can soak them in warm water for 10 minutes and then drain. Add ingredients to a food processor until evenly mixed. You should have a sticky and even batter.
Transfer to a parchment-lined medium sized dish and scoop 1 tsp amounts and roll into a ball. Place on a plate and sprinkle shredded coconut to cover all the surface.
Transfer to fridge to set for 30 minutes and ENJOY!
You can keep in the fridge for weeks.
